returns & refunds

we have a 5-day return policy, which means you have 5 days after receiving your item to request a return.

to be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. 

the following goods cannot be returned:

• goods made to your specifications or clearly personalized.

• goods that are bath & body care.

• goods that have been used or worn.

• goods which according to their nature are not suitable to be returned, deteriorate rapidly or where the date of expiry is over.

• goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery.

• goods which are, after delivery, according to their nature, inseparably mixed with other items.

we reserve the right to refuse returns of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.


to start a return, you can contact us at https://thesaltyhiveandbody.myshopify.com/pages/contact-us . if your return is accepted, we’ll send you a confirmation email, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.


you are responsible for the cost and risk of returning good to us. we cannot be held responsible for goods damaged or lost in return shipment. therefore, we recommend an insured and trackable mail service. we are unable to issue a refund without actual receipt of the goods or proof of received return delivery.

order pick-ups/cancelations:

orders selected for event pick-up or shop [bombshell gifts] pick-up must be picked up at the event/shop confirmed via email.

if unable to pick up at the event, customer is responsible to reschedule pick-up via email up to one time. failure to pick-up by 2nd relocated event will result in a cancelation of order, and will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee.

if unable to pick up at the shop [bombshell gifts,] customer is has one week to pick up order from the date of pick-up confirmation that the order is at said shop. customer is responsible to reschedule a pick-up via email up to one time. failure to pick-up by 2nd relocated event will result in a cancelation of order, and will be refunded minus a 20% restocking fee.


damages and issues

please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. if you received something damaged, incorrect, or defective, please email us immediately with photos of the items to contact@thesaltyhiveandbody.com 


not contacting regarding damaged, defective, or incorrect items prior to the 3-day return window will not be accepted. 


upon confirmation of photos, a replacement or refund will be given. damages shown by consumer misuse will not be accepted.

wax melts do not qualify as broken as these are made to break.


exceptions / non-returnable items

certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), mystery bundles ( such as grab bags and exclusive boxes,) and personal care goods (such as beauty & soap products). please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


exchanges

the fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


refunds

the salty hive will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. if approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method, less shipping costs. please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
